Can I
vote?
To be able to vote, your name must appear on the
Register of Electors. If you are a registered elector in Hull
North, you will automatically be sent ballot papers by post, to the
address you are registered at, for you to complete and return.
To obtain a Register of Electors form, you will need
to telephone the Electoral Services Office at the City Council on
01482 613069, alternatively, you can download a form by clicking

Can I Have a Postal Vote?
Yes, anyone can have a postal
vote and you do not have to give a reason. Many people lead
such busy lives, why not apply for a postal vote so you don't have

What if I am out of the country on
Election Day?
You can apply for a proxy
vote. Proxy voting is another way of casting your vote during an
election, and enables you to appoint a person to vote on your
behalf. The appointed person can vote on your behalf in two ways;
by going to the polling station itself or by post known as a
“postal proxy”. For more information, telephone the Electoral
