MP announces Hull North Small Business Saturday Award Winner 2018

Hull North's MP Diana Johnson has revealed the businesses voted for by local people in her online competition to find the best small businesses in Hull North for 2018.
Around 1,000 online votes were cast by local people from the 17-strong shortlist of independent businesses in Hull North that had been nominated in October.
The results are below:
Hull Inks, Chanterlands Avenue OVERALL WINNER
The People's Republic Bar, Newland Avenue Runner Up
Zoo Cafe, Newland Avenue - Runner Up
The Man Cave, Greenwood Avenue - Runner Up
Tilly's, Chanterlands Avenue Highly commended
Le Crepier Papin, Newland Avenue High commended
Diana Johnson MP will be visiting all these businesses today (Saturday 1 December).
These Small Business Awards promote local small businesses as part of today's Small Business Saturday. First held in 2013, this seeks to promote independent small businesses in local high streets.
Diana Johnson MP said: "Congratulations to Hull Inks in Chanterlands Avenue for being voted by local people as my Hull North Small Business Saturday winner for the second year running.
"They clearly provide excellent service to the local community.
"On Small Business Saturday we salute our local small businesses. There were so many great local businesses nominated and it was a tight contest. They all provide choice and valuable jobs and are the lifeblood of our local community every week of the year."
