Speaking after Tory MPs abstained in today's House of Commons vote to stop the £20 cut in Universal Credit, Hull North MP Diana Johnson said:

“With Tory MPs abstaining, the Government will ignore today's Commons vote, called by Labour, to cancel the Universal Credit cut.

In the latest Ministerial Statement on COVID by Sajid Javid MP in the House of Commons today, I mentioned that Hull has high rates of COVID infection alongside low rates of vaccination and asked what Ministers are doing to combat this problem.

I have been looking at the United States' community revitalisation fund. It's an encouraging step towards real community-led regeneration. If the UK Government is really serious about the levelling up agenda it shoudl look to emulate these plans.
