Theresa May's Brexit deal

Theresa May's Brexit Deal is in 2 parts - a withdrawal agreement with a backstop (in case we don’t reach agreement on what happens in 2021) and a political declaration for our future relationship with the EU, which at the time of writing is worryingly vague.

At the moment, the plan is we will leave the EU on 29th March 2019 and enter a transition period until the end of 2020. From January 2021 we will be outside the Customs Union and the Single Market so we will no longer have frictionless trade with the EU. There will be no guarantees for workers' rights or environmental protections. Security issues such as the European Arrest Warrant are yet to be decided upon. We will have no membership of EU Agencies such as Euratom.
