We need a plan for social care reform

Today I asked Ministers to restore the £8bn cut from social care since 2010. On the day he became Prime Minister nearly two years ago, Boris Johnson promised that he had "a clear plan" for social care reform - but there was still no sign of it in the recent Queen's Speech. Watch here. The debate came in the middle of Carers' Week - which runs this year from 7th June to the 13th. The UK's 6.5 million unpaid carers need our support more than ever - that's why I'm also backing calls for greater support from the Government for those in caring roles.
