Diana Johnson MP used a Business Question in the House of Commons to raise again the problem of anti-social behaviour in Hull.

The MP had recently raised spiralling youth gang crime on North Hull Estate. There have recently been reports of increasing knife crime in Hull and widespread drug dealing and drug abuse on Hull estates and in Hull city centre.

Diana asked for a debate not just about police funding, but whether weaker Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs) that the Lib Dem-backed Coalition government had replaced Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) with in 2014 are fit for purpose.

The Labour MP told the House about being informed recently by Hull Police of a case in the city when a local youth had breached CBOs 19 times without being prosecuted.
