Speaking in the House of Commons, Hull North MP Diana Johnson asked how many new police officers will be seen in Hull - and when.
 
This follow the announcement from the new Prime Minister of funding for 20,000 more police officers nationally.
 
The Tory/ Lib Dem Coalition had cut 21,000 police since 2010, leading to a surge of crime and anti-social behaviour in Hull and around the country.

Leading the celebration was Hull's Lord Mayor and Admiral of the Humber Cllr Steve Wilson, a councillor in Hull North's University Ward, and his family.
