Hull MP reacts to the Budget

Diana Johnson spoke in the Commons debate on the Chancellor's Budget Statement.
 
The Hull North MP's remarks ranged across several key issues for Hull North, including support for workers over the Coronavirus, the NHS and public health, flood resilience and devolution for the Humber.

Diana to fight Hull North for Labour

Diana Johnson has been over-whelmingly selected in a One Member, One Vote ballot of Hull North Labour members to be Labour's Hull North candidate at the next General Election.
 
The result was announced following a meeting this evening at Hull's Guildhall.
 
Diana Johnson commented: "I always knew that the majority of Hull North members backed me - just as they did in 2004, 2010, 2015 and 2017. 
 
"Now we need to get on with the job of preparing for a General Election and kicking out the Tory Government."
