Diana Johnson MP was one of 28 women, representing the average number of women who fly from Northern Ireland for an abortion every week, marched with suitcases to Parliament.
Diana Johnson MP was joined by supporters of decriminalising abortion in the UK at a Parliamentary event ahead of the publication of her Private Members’ Bill to modernise abortion laws.
This included Lord David Steel who piloted the 1967 Abortion Act through Parliament.
Diana Johnson MP and a cross-party coalition of MPs from five UK political parties will today launch a 10 Minute Rule Bill to decriminalise abortion in England and Wales and Northern Ireland.
