Hull MP slams Coalition cut to Disabled Student Allowance

Hull North MP Diana Johnson today highlighted the Coalition's proposed 'modernisation' of the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

The Labour MP called on Ministers to ensure equal access to further and higher education for disabled students in Hull.

Currently, there are 9,185 students in the Yorkshire and Humber region receiving DSA, and the National Union of Students has warned that their support is at risk after the Government announced a so-called 'modernisation' of the crucial benefit.
