Diana to fight Hull North for Labour

Diana Johnson has been over-whelmingly selected in a One Member, One Vote ballot of Hull North Labour members to be Labour's Hull North candidate at the next General Election.
 
The result was announced following a meeting this evening at Hull's Guildhall.
 
Diana Johnson commented: "I always knew that the majority of Hull North members backed me - just as they did in 2004, 2010, 2015 and 2017. 
 
"Now we need to get on with the job of preparing for a General Election and kicking out the Tory Government."

Diana Johnson MP sworn in for new Parliament

Diana Johnson was sworn in as MP for Hull North today as the House of Commons reassembled for the new Parliament.
 
This follows Diana's successful re-election in the 8 June General ELection, when she increased her majority to 14,322 over the Tories.

Diana Johnson was re-elected as the Labour MP for Hull North in the early hours of Friday 9 June.
 
Diana attracted 23,685 votes, a vote share of 63.7%, giving her a 14,322 majority over the Tories - up from the 12,899 majority Diana had at the 2015 Election.
 

Diana nominated as Labour's candidate for Hull North

Hull North's Diana Johnson today submitted her offical nomination to be Labour's candidate for Hull North.
 
Diana was joined by Emma Hardy, Labour's Hull West and Hessle Candidate; and Karl Turner, Labour's Hull East Candidate.
 
Polling day is Thursday 8 June.
