Not a penny more for Hull schools as Surrey gets extra £24.8m

Hull North MP Diana Johnson has reacted to a new schools funding formula, announced today by the Coalition, under which Surrey gets an extra £24.8m but Hull gets nothing.

Diana Johnson MP said: "Just as we've seen with what the Coalition has done on local government funding, and wants to do on NHS funding, the most prosperous areas, mainly in the South, gain most from this Government. Often this comes at the expense of the most disadvantaged areas, such as Hull.
